Delta Hospital is seeking a Geriatrician to join our close-knit, collegial team. This is a unique opportunity to practice consultative geriatrics across both inpatient and outpatient settings while enjoying exceptional work-life balance.
Based in a welcoming community hospital environment, you will join an established geriatric service and work alongside a dedicated geriatrician within a collaborative, interdisciplinary model, delivering high-impact care to a growing older adult population
The Role
This is a (0.5 - 0.6 FTE, negotiable) combining inpatient consult service and outpatient clinic, with the option to expand to full-time through additional outpatient work in Surrey to be 1.0 FTE.
- Balanced Clinical Practice:
Deliver consultative geriatrics care across both inpatient and outpatient settings, providing comprehensive assessment and management for older adults within a collaborative, interdisciplinary model.
- Flexible Weekly Structure:
Work a consistent schedule of 2 inpatient consult days and 1 clinic day per week (0.6 FTE). Clinic operates Monday–Wednesday, while inpatient care is flexible and self-directed based on consult demand.
Practice as a specialist consultant (no MRP responsibilities), working collaboratively with hospitalists and interdisciplinary teams.
- Lifestyle-Oriented Practice:
This role offers exceptional balance with no call, evenings, or weekends, and flexibility in daily workflow.
- Expanded Full-Time Option:
Opportunity to combine with Surrey outpatient clinic (2 additional days/week) to create a full-time hybrid role with a broader interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications
- FRCPC in Geriatric Medicine or CCFP with Care of the Elderly (COE)
- Eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) (full license required)
- Strong collaborative and interdisciplinary skills
- Eligibility for clinical faculty appointment with the University of British Columbia
Compensation
Combination of Alternate Payment Plan (APP) service contract for Delta Hospital services and optional APP sessional plus Fee-for-Service (FFS) for Surrey outpatient practice.
