About the Clinic
Nova Thera Wellness is a purpose-built, 4,030 sq ft integrated medical aesthetics and wellness destination in Woodbridge, Ontario. Our detox, digestive health, and longevity programs are a core pillar of our wellness offering. We are seeking a skilled, professional colon hydrotherapy practitioner to lead this service within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
Role Overview
As our Colon Hydrotherapy Practitioner, you will deliver professional colonics and digestive wellness services in a modern, clinical setting. You will work collaboratively with naturopathic doctors, nutritional consultants, and wellness practitioners to support clients pursuing detoxification, gut health optimization, and preventative wellness.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Services
- Conduct thorough pre-session health intake assessments: health history, digestive concerns, and contraindication screening
- Administer closed-system colon hydrotherapy treatments using FDA-approved colonics equipment
- Educate clients on digestive health, pre- and post-session protocols, and ongoing gut wellness strategies
- Recommend complementary services and coordinate care with the clinic's ND and nutrition team
- Monitor client comfort and safety throughout every session; manage and document any adverse responses
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate, timely session notes and intake records in Jane App EMR
- Adhere to I-ACT (International Association for Colon Hydrotherapy) or equivalent professional standards
- Ensure colonics suite is meticulously clean, sanitized, and equipment-compliant between every session
- Follow all Ontario health and safety regulations pertaining to this service modality
Client Experience
- Create a calm, professional, and non-judgmental environment for all clients
- Provide thorough pre- and post-session consultations including dietary and probiotic guidance
- Collaborate with the clinic's wellness team on detox program packages combining colonics with IV therapy and nutrition
QualificationsRequired
- Certification from I-ACT (International Association for Colon Hydrotherapy) or equivalent recognized colon hydrotherapy training program
- Minimum 1 year of professional colon hydrotherapy practice
- Proficiency with closed-system colonics equipment
- Current CPR/AED certification (Basic Life Support level minimum)
- Clear criminal background check
Preferred (Strong Asset)
- Experience in a health clinic, detox center, or integrative wellness setting
- Background or training in nutrition, naturopathy, or digestive health
- Comfort with EMR systems; experience with Jane App is a strong asset
- Familiarity with gut health, microbiome science, and detoxification protocols
- Bilingual (English + French, Arabic, or Punjabi) is an advantage given local community demographics
Pay: $45,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
