Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Punjabi Speaking Health Care Aide to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. Fluency in Punjabi is required to effectively communicate with clients and their families. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with daily activities and medical needs.
Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications and monitor health conditions as directed by healthcare professionals
- Support patients with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional needs are met
- Provide companionship and emotional support, especially for seniors and individuals with dementia or disabilities
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning patient areas to maintain a safe environment
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Support hospice care patients by providing comfort and companionship during end-of-life care
- Document patient care activities accurately and report any changes in condition to supervising staff
Experience
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings is preferred
- Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, dementia care, or hospice care is highly desirable
- Knowledge of caregiving best practices, medication administration, and basic nursing skills is advantageous
- Prior experience with meal preparation, cleaning, and supporting patients with mobility challenges is beneficial
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining a compassionate approach toward patient care
This position requires candidates to be caring, reliable, and able to communicate fluently in Punjabi. A background in healthcare or caregiving roles will enhance your ability to succeed in this rewarding position.
