Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and mature Weekend Pet Retail Salesperson to join our team. This role involves engaging with customers, providing exceptional service, and promoting our pet products. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for animals, and the ability to work effectively during weekend hours. This position offers an opportunity to develop retail sales experience within a dynamic pet store environment. MUST have previous experience and understand healthy feeding for pets. Car required as transit is unreliable.
Duties
- Assist customers in selecting pet products, including food, accessories, and supplies
- Greet Customers and their pets,
- Handle cash register operations, including cash handling and POS transactions
- Upsell products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales,
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Ensure the store remains clean, organized, and welcoming for all visitors
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience mandatory, especially in pet or specialty retail environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and basic math skills for transactions
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during busy periods,
- Ability to upsell products while maintaining a friendly demeanor
- Must be available to work during weekends and have reliable time management skills

Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour
