Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role requires strong communication skills, efficiency, and a passion for hospitality. Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high service standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen duties as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Provide guest services by addressing questions, special requests, and feedback professionally
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry
- Basic math skills for handling bills, making change, and processing transactions accurately
- Experience with food handling, serving, and hospitality best practices is advantageous
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
