Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations in our bustling food service establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, managing inventory, food prep and the occasional line cook work and maintaining a high-quality dining experience. Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, and hospitality environments such as hotels or restaurants is highly valued. The Kitchen Manager will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive team environment while ensuring operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met.
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations to ensure compliance with health standards.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs to optimize profitability.
- Handle food ordering, inventory and food prep.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and excellent customer experiences.
- Lead by example in food handling, hospitality, and serving standards to foster a positive team culture.
- Conduct interviews for new hires and participate in onboarding processes.
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Ensure the restaurant operates efficiently during shifts, managing labor costs and workflow.
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within the food service or restaurant industry is required.
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, ordering, and kitchen management preferred.
- Experience in restaurant management or hospitality roles
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and regulations is mandatory.
