D&J Sausage Factory is a European style deli meat and smoked products specialist that is looking for a reliable, friendly, and committed Deli Clerk to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Slice, weigh, and package deli meats, sausages, and smoked specialties to order
- Provide knowledgeable, friendly customer service at the deli counter, including product recommendations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work area in compliance with health regulations
- Stock and rotate product displays, monitor inventory levels, and flag low stock
- Operate slicing equipment, scales, and point-of-sale systems
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately
- Assist with receiving and labeling incoming product shipments
Qualifications
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Previous deli, grocery, or food service experience preferred
- Comfortable using deli slicers and other food prep equipment (training provided)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 10-20 lbs
- Food Handler Certification an asset (or willingness to obtain)

Hours: Tuesday: 9am - 5pm, Wednesday: 9am – 5pm, Thursday: 9am-7pm, Friday: 9-7pm, Saturday: 9am-5.30pm
Job Type: Deli Clerk - Full Time/Part time (minimum 20 hours)
Wage: $17.60 - $20.00
