Matrix HR is actively seeking experienced Journeyperson Electricians for upcoming commercial and industrial projects in Thunder Bay, Ontario. This is an excellent opportunity to join a skilled team on long-term projects with competitive wages and night shift premiums.
Position Details
- Location: Thunder Bay, ON
- Position: Journeyperson Electrician
- Pay Rate: $42.26/hour
- Night Shift Premium: 15%
- Shift: Primarily night shift work (typically 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Work Schedule: Sunday night through Thursday night
- Overtime: Available based on project requirements
Compensation
- Base Wage: $42.26/hour
- Night Shift Premium: 15% on all applicable hours worked
- Vacation Pay: 8%
- Paid travel and additional compensation may be available depending on project requirements
Responsibilities
- Perform commercial and industrial electrical installations.
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and electrical schematics.
- Install conduit, cable tray, wiring, lighting, and electrical equipment.
- Complete renovations, upgrades, and new construction electrical work.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems as required.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with applicable codes and project specifications.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certification.
- Commercial and/or industrial electrical experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Experience working on renovation and new construction projects is considered an asset.
Requirements
- Ability to work night shifts as required.
- Reliable transportation.
- Fall Protection certification is an asset or must be obtained prior to starting work.
- Additional site-specific safety certifications may be required.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Pay: Up to $42.26 per hour
