Responsibilities
- Supervise all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and food handling to maintain quality standards.
- Lead and motivate a diverse team of cooks, servers, bartenders, and support staff to achieve operational excellence.
- Oversee inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining proper stock levels to ensure smooth service flow.
- Implement and enforce food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations; conduct regular cleanliness inspections.
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling accurately during shifts.
- Interview potential team members, participate in hiring decisions, and provide ongoing training to develop skills and teamwork.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and exceptional customer experiences.
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to uphold our reputation for hospitality excellence.
- Maintain detailed records of shift activities, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced food service environment or restaurant management role.
- Extensive food industry knowledge including food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards.
- Hands-on experience with restaurant POS systems such as Micros or similar platforms; familiarity with cash handling procedures.
- Strong leadership skills demonstrated through team management, interviewing new hires, and conflict resolution.
- Background in hospitality or hotel industry settings is advantageous; bartending or barista experience adds value.
- Demonstrated ability to manage restaurant operations efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and service.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene and sanitation.
