In anticipation of opening in June 2026, we are searching for a full-time Continuing Care Assistant to join our new Adeline Hall Enhanced Care team based in Bedford, Nova Scotia.

About the Opportunity
Assists residents with hygiene and daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, oral care, skin care, meals, and mobilizing according to the work assignment
Assists with resident’s special needs, e.g. eye care, colostomy, and catheter
Assists in restorative care e.g. walking, range of motion
Provides mealtime assistance when required
Provides snacks, morning and afternoon fluid passes and night lunches, while monitoring intake
Documents according to facility policy e.g. Daily Resident Care Record, resident progress notes, initiating medication incident reports, servery documentation and audits, incident reports etc
Communicates and reports pertinent and relevant information and/or observations to the Supervisor
Collaborates with the resident and other members of the interdisciplinary team in the development of individualized Resident Care Plan
Assists in the planning and implementation of resident leisure activities on a daily basis;
Assists with light housekeeping duties
Performs delegated nursing acts according to company policy and scope of practice
Communicates and reports relevant information regarding resident care or safety to Supervisor.

About You
In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:
Completion of Continuing Care Assistant program or equivalency according to the CCA Entry to Practice Policy
You are registered in Nova Scotia’s CCA registry as per the?Continuing Care Assistants Registry Act?(NS only)

You hold a valid CPR/Frist Aid certification. (required)
You can work a schedule of flexible hours and shifts inclusive of days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Completed Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care course considered an asset
Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices
Knowledge of principles of personal care including bathing, oral hygiene
Ability to utilize technology (i.e. Electronic Health Care Records)
A completed Back in Form Lift & Transfer Program is considered an asset
Bilingualism in French/English is considered an asset
Previous working experience with elderly in long-term care or a senior living environment an asset
A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and care.
