Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee our production, purchasing, inventory management, and people leadership functions. This role is responsible for ensuring that our operations run efficiently, our teams are supported, and our systems scale alongside the business.
Position Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and performance of our production and supply chain operations. This includes coffee roasting and packaging, inventory control, purchasing, warehousing, logistics, and team management.
The ideal candidate is an experienced operational leader with a proven track record in production management, inventory control, procurement, and people leadership. They are highly organized, process-driven, and capable of balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Management
- Oversee daily production operations to ensure products are manufactured accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Develop and maintain production schedules that align with forecasted demand.
- Monitor production performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements.
- Ensure quality standards are consistently met across all products.
- Maintain operational compliance with food safety and workplace safety requirements.
Purchasing & Procurement
- Manage purchasing activities for coffee, packaging, café supplies, equipment, and operational materials.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements.
- Monitor supplier performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure adequate supply levels while minimizing excess inventory.
Inventory Management
- Lead inventory planning and control across all business channels.
- Develop systems to maintain accurate inventory records and reporting.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Establish inventory targets and reorder points to optimize working capital.
Warehouse & Logistics
- Oversee warehouse organization, receiving, storage, and distribution activities.
- Ensure efficient order fulfillment for wholesale, retail, and e-commerce customers.
- Coordinate shipping and logistics operations.
- Improve warehouse workflows and productivity.
People Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop production, warehouse, and inventory teams.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, performance management, and employee development.
- Create a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Establish clear expectations, performance metrics, and development plans.
- Support succession planning and talent development initiatives.
Process Improvement & Reporting
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, quality, and profitability.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures.
- Create and maintain operational KPIs and reporting dashboards.
- Partner with leadership to support strategic planning and business growth initiatives.
QualificationsRequired Experience
- Minimum 5 years of operational leadership experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing production operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing purchasing and supplier relationships.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing inventory management systems and controls.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams.
- Experience with ERP, inventory, or warehouse management systems.
- Strong financial and analytical skills.
