PROPOSAL WRITER & MARKETING ADMIN ASSISTANT
Rocky Point Engineering Ltd. is a building services mechanical consulting engineering company providing quality engineering services to our clients within the education, healthcare, civic/government, commercial, housing, hospitality and recreation markets.
Job Description:
We are currently looking for a strong writer, with marketing experience and an eye for quality. This person will be focused on proposal writing for Rocky Point Engineering Ltd., as well as various other tasks related to the development of marketing materials and templates to support proposal development.
There will also be administrative support required related to marketing and other office support activities.
Your Role:
- Preparation of Proposals under the direction of senior staff
- Design and update of proposal templates and project profiles for projects
- Prepare and update resume templates
- Creation of marketing materials for trade shows and events.
- Basic administration assistance when required.
- You will be working as part of the Administration Team in our Langley office under the direction of the Administration Manager.
Requirements:
- Exceptional written professional communication skills - accurate, focused, organized and fluid
- Ability to spell correctly and proofread documents
- Experience in an office environment
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in marketing, writing or arts program
- Eye for design, and ability to create appealing and clean layout in programs such as Microsoft Office Suite and/or Adobe Suite
- Internet savvy and comfortable writing about and using different applications and websites
- Able to maintain confidentiality with respect to marketing activities.
- Scanning for marketing opportunities on various platforms such as BC Bid, Merx, etc..
Preferred experience:
- Experience in a similar position (consulting engineering, architecture or construction) would be an asset
- Experience creating and managing professional service proposals
- Experience with editing spelling/grammar and formatting large documents under tight timelines
- Experience working in a marketing environment

Salary range of $65,000 to $85,000 depending on applicable level of experience and skills.
