Overview
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Counter Sales Representative to join our team. This role involves engaging with customers, managing sales transactions, and providing exceptional service in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, sales experience, and a solid understanding of automotive products. Multilingual abilities and familiarity with tire and service operations are highly valued to enhance customer interactions and support diverse client needs.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers professionally and assist them in selecting products or services that meet their needs
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing payments
- Provide detailed product information, answer customer inquiries, and offer solutions to enhance customer satisfaction
- Maintain organized inventory levels and ensure proper order fulfillment
- Utilize tire experience or automotive repair knowledge to advise customers effectively
- Handle phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and coordinate with other departments as needed
- Support marketing initiatives by promoting special offers or new products to customers
- Keep the sales area clean, organized, and well-stocked to ensure a welcoming environment
- Use organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Assist in maintaining records using Microsoft Excel or other relevant software tools
Experience
- Prior experience in dealership sales, retail sales, or automotive repair is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and order fulfillment processes
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills are essential
- Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience working with automotive parts or maintenance is desirable
