Apex Well Servicing is currently looking for a full time Shop Hand and Hot oiler assistant, to join our team. These positions will be based out of Grande Prairie and may require some travel and on-call work .
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting the shop supervisor with breaking down, inspecting, and reassembling tools
- Performing safety checks on equipment, tools and vehicles as well as assisting in safety maintenance records
- General shop duties including maintenance, cleaning, organizing, assist in inventory control
- Pick up/deliver supplies, tools or equipment
- Job organizing and load outs
- Maintaining proper paperwork related to the position
- Additional duties as assigned supervisor
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Basic understanding of hand and power tools
- Proper use of PPE (training provided)
- Communication and ability to work in a team environment and on your own
- Understand and perform work following instructions and safe operating procedures
- Excellent organization and time management skills
Qualifications / Education / Experience:
- Valid and clean driver’s license;
- Valid H2S and First Aid (Asset but not required);
- Loader ticket considered an asset;
- A suitable combination of education and experience
Working Conditions and Physical Environment:
- Moderate physical effort; occasional heavy lifting
- Extensive periods of sitting, standing, walking, and driving
- Exposed to working in a high noise environment
- Normal working day consists of 8 hours; however occasional overtime may be required
