The Junior Estimator provides administrative, technical, and organizational support to the Estimating Department. This role is responsible for assisting with quantity takeoffs, estimate documentation, data entry, and coordination activities to support the preparation of accurate and complete project estimates. The Junior Estimator ensures that estimating information is well organized, traceable, and prepared for review by Senior Estimators.

Junior Estimator will be responsible for:

Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents

Perform quantity takeoffs (concrete, framing, finishes, and more)

Break down the scopes of work into clear, trade-specific components
-
Ensure all quantities are accurate and traceable to drawings

Assist in preparing estimates and supporting documentation

Request and track pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
-
Organize and maintain estimate files, quotes, and pricing data
-
Input and manage data in BisTrack or other estimating systems

Support bid preparation, material quotes, and purchase orders

Coordinate with Sales, Design, Purchasing, and Operations teams

Provide administrative support to the estimating department
Junior Estimator will have:
-
Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.

Previous experience in construction, estimating, or administrative support is an asset.

Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
-
Experience with BisTrack or similar ERP software is an asset.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Residential construction experience is an asset, but not required.
