Position Summary:
SESS Holdings Inc. is seeking a motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented Cannabis Production Technician to support our expanding solventless extraction and infused products division.
This role will assist with premium bubble hash production, gummy manufacturing, product formulation, and quality control while maintaining the highest standards of sanitation, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Produce premium bubble hash using HashTek and other solventless extraction equipment.- Prepare cannabis biomass for extraction.
- Operate, maintain, and clean extraction equipment.- Collect, dry, package, and store hash according to SOPs.
- Maintain accurate production records and inventory.- Ensure all extraction activities comply with Health Canada and GMP requirements.Gummy Production- Manufacture cannabis-infused gummies in accordance with approved formulations and batch records.- Accurately weigh, measure, and blend ingredients, including cannabinoids, flavours, colours, acids, sweeteners, pectin or gelatin, and other functional ingredients.
- Cook, mix, deposit, cure, and demould gummies while maintaining batch consistency.- Monitor temperatures, cook times, Brix, pH, texture, moisture, and finished product quality throughout production.- Operate and maintain gummy cookers, mixers, depositor systems, moulds, curing racks, and related production equipment.
- Apply sugar or specialty coatings when required and prepare products for packaging.- Perform in-process quality control checks for weight, appearance, consistency, potency, and overall product quality.
- Clean and sanitize all production equipment and work areas following GMP, SOP, and food safety requirements.
- Complete production records, batch documentation, sanitation logs, and inventory records accurately.
- Assist with research and development of new gummy formulations, flavours, textures, and fast-acting cannabinoid products.Formulation- Prepare cannabinoid and terpene formulations for edible and extract products.
- Accurately weigh and blend ingredients according to approved recipes.
- Assist in developing and scaling new formulations.- Maintain inventory of raw materials and production supplies.
- Support quality assurance through sampling, testing, and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Experience with solventless extraction, bubble hash production, cannabis formulation, gummy manufacturing, confectionery production, or food manufacturing is preferred.
- Experience operating HashTek or similar solventless extraction equipment is considered an asset.- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing premium-quality products.
- Ability to follow SOPs, batch records, and GMP requirements.- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (23 kg).- Ability to stand for extended periods.- Comfortable working in cold environments during ice-water extraction.
- Able to perform repetitive production tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexible scheduling with occasional weekend shifts based on production requirements.
Pay: $25.00-$26.00 per hour
