We’re hiring a Cook to prepare and serve pierogi at food festivals. This role involves cooking frozen pierogi (boiling and pan-frying) on-site, while keeping up with orders, maintaining cleanliness, and interacting with customers. You’ll need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to multitask with divided attention—handling cooking, timing, and customer service all at once.
Key Responsibilities:
- Boil and pan-fry pierogi to order using portable equipment
- Manage multiple cooking tasks at the same time
- Set up and break down the booth and equipment
- Keep cooking and prep areas clean and organized
- Interact professionally and warmly with customers
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with prep and cleanup before and after market hours
Requirements:
- Experience in cooking or food prep
- Ability to multitask and maintain focus while handling multiple tasks simultaneously
- Comfortable working in outdoor settings and standing for long periods
- Reliable, punctual, and proactive
- Food handler’s certificate (or willingness to get one)
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in changing weather conditions
- Driving license to drive company vehicle when it's required
Saturday and Sunday, various locations as every week we are going to different festivals.
