Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the daily activities of dispatchers, logistics coordinators, and administrative staff involved in transportation and freight movement.
- Plan, assign, and review work related to load planning, dispatch operations, route optimization, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor trucking operations to ensure on-time pickup and delivery while minimizing delays, detention, and empty miles.
- Coordinate with drivers, customers, brokers, and warehouse staff to resolve operational issues, service failures, and delivery exceptions.
- Ensure compliance with provincial and federal transportation regulations, including hours of service, ELD records, safety policies, and documentation.
- Oversee shipment documentation such as bills of lading, rate confirmations, invoices, and customs paperwork when applicable.
