Ampjack is looking for up to 6 - General Labourer workers to fill various positions on our construction team. We are completing project work that will be based out of Hay River and Fort Smith, NWT. The work will occur in rural areas between Hay River and Fort Smith.
The work schedule will generally be 12 hrs./day, Monday through Saturday. Overtime will be paid at 1.5X the regular rate of pay. The shift schedule will be 3-weeks on, 1-week off.
This is for project work. Start date is planned to be mid to late June, 2026 and end date will be approximately end of November, 2026. (End date is subject to change)
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Be safety focused, reliable, motivated, adaptable, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and able to follow instructions
- Be physically able to work outside in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
- Be capable of walking on uneven ground
- Be capable of carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Be a proven team player and willing to take direction
- Be available for the duration of the program
- Must have a minimum Class 5 valid drivers license and the ability to get to the project area
In addition to the above requirements, applicants with the following qualifications/experience will receive priority consideration:
- A resident of the Hay River or the Fort Smith Areas.
- Posses a Class 3 drivers license or Heavy Trailer endorsement
- Posses a construction background and experience working outdoors
The successful applicant may be required to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test prior to the start of employment.
