School Bus Driver
We are currently seeking a reliable, safety-focused, and compassionate School Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate is responsible, punctual, and committed to ensuring the safe transportation of children to and from programs, schools, appointments, and activities. This role requires excellent driving skills, professionalism, and the ability to create a safe and respectful environment for children during transportation.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport children and staff using a company vehicle, including a Ford E-450 bus
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and safety checks before and after shifts
- Ensure children are safely seated and secured during transportation
- Follow assigned transportation schedules and routes efficiently
- Maintain accurate transportation logs and incident reports when required
- Communicate professionally with families, staff, and supervisors
- Ensure compliance with all transportation safety regulations and company policies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle
- Respond calmly and appropriately in emergency situations
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Class 4 Driver’s License (required)
- Clean driver’s abstract and driving record
- Previous experience driving a school bus, passenger bus, or large vehicle preferred
- Comfortable driving a Ford E-450 bus or similar vehicle
- Strong understanding of road safety and defensive driving practices
- Ability to supervise and interact positively with children
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- First Aid & CPR Certification considered an asset
- Ability to pass background checks and any required screenings
