Are you an experienced Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys helping customers through challenging situations? First General is seeking a motivated Project Manager to lead restoration and reconstruction projects from start to finish.
In this role, you'll manage residential and commercial insurance restoration projects involving water, fire, wind, storm, and other property damage. You'll work closely with clients, insurance partners, trades, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and with exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Working with clients and all relevant stakeholders to detail specific project deliverables while delivering excellent customer service and timely communication to clients.
- Determining and overseeing project pricing and estimating.
- Communicating to all stakeholders via email, phone, meetings, etc. to ensure timely project delivery.
- Developing projects plans and establishing milestones and timelines for clients and project team using technical tools and software programs such as Dash, Xactimate, Xact Analysis, Encircle.
- Coordinating internal resources and external vendors for the smooth execution of restoration projects.
- Tracking project progress and performance and analyzing deliverables by creating and maintaining detailed project documentation.
- Monitoring project progress and identifying and managing any change in scope, schedule and costs.
- Issue purchase orders to successful bids and send out letter of intents.
- Compiling, preparing, and submitting relevant information for invoicing of completed jobs.
- Preparing detailed reports and providing project updates to stakeholders when necessary.
- Leading and managing project teams and junior staff, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conducting regular meetings in office and on site to coordinate subtrades and site requirements.
- Visiting site and resolving questions with subtrades and assisting in the interpretation of construction drawings to ensure work is being performed according to codes and guidelines.
- Assisting and support during site visits to assess, photograph and record details.
- Providing emergency services on an on-call basis once every 5 to 6 weeks for one week.
- Supporting with a variety of tasks and needs as they arise to ensure we are successful in all aspects.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience
- 3-5 years of restoration industry experience (insurance restoration, remediation, emergency services, etc.)
- Post-secondary education in a related field
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
- Strong knowledge of construction and restoration practices
- Experience managing budgets, schedules, and multiple projects at once
- PMP, PMI, CET, or Construction Management credentials are considered assets
- IICRC certifications are considered an asset
