Key Responsibilities
As the Commercial Account Manager, you will:
- Provide support and partnership to the Commercial Insurance Account Executive
- Deliver exceptional customer service by offering expert advice and helping clients understand their insurance coverage
- Receive and process all incoming commercial documentation
- Assist with quotes, review existing coverages, and ensure customer files are accurate and up to date
- Prepare and submit documentation to insurers, complete applications for new clients, and issue insurance certificates
- Process endorsements, invoices, and follow up on outstanding payments
- Liaise with insurance companies and negotiate with underwriters to secure optimal terms for clients
- Follow up with adjusters on claim status and ensure clear, timely communication with clients
- Gather and provide additional information required by underwriters to support applications and renewals
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following:
- High School and/or Post-Secondary Education
- 3–5 years of experience in commercial insurance
- RIBO License (required)
- Experience with Epic is an asset
- Previous sales experience is an asset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
