We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Associate Dentist to join our vibrant dental team. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages, ensuring optimal oral health and patient satisfaction. Duties
- Perform a wide range of dental procedures including general dentistry, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery with precision and care
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, clinical examinations, and diagnostic imaging using advanced tools such as digital X-rays and medical imaging techniques
- Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs while explaining procedures clearly using appropriate dental terminology
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate seamlessly with team members utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort
- Stay current with industry best practices by participating in ongoing education related to pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and new dental technologies
Skills
- Proficiency in dental software for documentation, and treatment planning
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and dental terminology to ensure precise diagnosis and communication
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs compassionately and effectively
- Experience with pediatric dentistry practices to manage young patients comfortably and confidently
- Skilled in performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics fabrication, and other restorative procedures
- Familiarity with infection control standards and sterilization processes within a dental clinic setting
- Ability to interpret medical imaging accurately for diagnosis and treatment planning
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance for safeguarding patient information at all times
- Effective communication skills for explaining procedures clearly to patients of diverse backgrounds
- Dental office experience demonstrating familiarity with general dentistry workflows and patient management
Schedule: Tuesdays and Fridays, 2 Saturdays
Qualifications required;
-Graduate from an accredited DDS/DMD Program or Completion of the NDEB Equivalency Exam
-Licensed with the provincial licensing (RCDSO)
- first AID& CPR BLS Certification
