Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our service team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with automotive repairs, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to work on a variety of vehicle makes and models, utilizing a wide range of tools and techniques to ensure customer satisfaction and vehicle safety. Experience with dealership repairs, welding, and schematics is highly valued. Duties
- Perform comprehensive automotive repairs including engine diagnostics, brake service, suspension work, and electrical troubleshooting
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to repair or replace vehicle parts
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle components with precision
- Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Maintain detailed records of services performed for each vehicle
- Assist in the training of junior technicians when necessary
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance needs clearly
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with a solid understanding of automotive systems and repair techniques
- Dealership experience is preferred but not required
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Knowledge of schematics, assembly procedures, and maintenance protocols
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or part replacements
- Strong mechanical knowledge coupled with excellent problem-solving skills
- Prior experience working in fast-paced automotive environments is advantageous
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients about vehicle issues and repairs
