Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all linens, towels, and guest clothing are cleaned, pressed, and maintained to the highest standards. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness are essential. Previous hotel experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided. The Laundry Attendant plays a vital role in delivering exceptional guest service by maintaining the cleanliness and availability of laundry items.
Duties
- Operate laundry machines such as washers, dryers, and pressing equipment efficiently and safely
- Sort, fold, and organize linens, towels, and guest clothing according to established procedures
- Ensure all laundry items meet quality standards before returning to guests or storage
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing work surfaces
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and notify management when stock needs replenishing
- Follow safety guidelines and proper handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Assist with additional cleaning duties around the hotel as needed to support overall property cleanliness
Skills
- Prior experience in hotel laundry or cleaning services is preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy in handling laundry items
- Ability to operate laundry machinery safely and efficiently
- Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads when necessary
- Reliable work ethic with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures is advantageous
