Nasco Products /L.E.D. Cosmetics is looking for a Junior Designer to create engaging designs according to requirements. In this role, you should be highly creative and have a sharp eye for details. If you’re passionate about design and eager to learn more, we’d like to meet you. Your goal will be to create impactful retail packaging designs that cater to our clients' markets.
Responsibilities:
- Design Creation - Apply expertise in typography and color theory for clear communication and aesthetic appeal.
- Print Production - prepare artwork files to ensure accurate execution of packaging materials.
- Regulatory Compliance - Ensure packaging designs adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Marketing Materials - Prepare marketing materials for company tradeshow promotion, handle photoshoot and organise product images, and create mockups and renderings for sales presentation as needed.
- Market Research - Stay updated on retail and packaging trends to create standout designs.
- Collaboration - Work closely with cross-functional teams, presenting and incorporating feedback effectively.
- File Management - Organize and maintain design files systematically for efficient collaboration.
- Presentation - Effectively present design concepts during internal reviews and assist the sales team in preparing materials for client presentations.
- Basic Office Admin - answering phone calls and organizing showroom as needed
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following attributes:
- Demonstrate self-motivation and high energy, with a genuine passion for branding and design.
- Possess a basic understanding of color cosmetics trends to contribute to innovative design solutions.
- Exhibit excellent organizational skills, including effective time management, multitasking abilities, and the capacity to handle multiple projects with varying deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Appreciate and utilize white space effectively; stay updated on the latest design trends.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm for learning and applying new techniques and styles based on client feedback.
- Skill-Sets (minimum): Display excellent typography and layout skills.
- Proficient in photo retouching and rendering using Photoshop.
- Possess 1-3 years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including advanced proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and MS Office Suite (PowerPoint).
- Proficient in using Mac operating systems.
- Knowledgeable about online/offline production techniques.
Bonus Skills:
- Basic knowledge of photography is an asset.
- The ability to read and type Chinese is an asset.
- The ability to read and type Spanish/French is an asset.
