BayVETS Urgent Care Collingwood is growing and looking to expand our team. We are owned by a group of local family veterinarians whose goal is to provide timely outpatient veterinary care after hours to pets in our region.
What is Urgent Care?
We operate as an outpatient clinic addressing conditions such as acute vomiting/diarrhea, lacerations, ear infections, toxin ingestion, porcupine encounters and more. We perform surgery in cases deemed appropriate for our setting. We have access to comprehensive ultrasound services and endoscopy. We are not offering preventative care such as wellness appointments and vaccinations. For critical care cases that require 24 hr hospitalization, we will provide direct referrals or assess and stabilize, then facilitate transfer to an appropriate overnight ER or specialty ICU facility. Our mission is to provide timely care to patients that could wait for hours in a traditional ER clinic.
Job Description
We are looking for experienced registered veterinary technicians with excellent nursing and technical skill who thrive in a fast-paced environment. Qualified candidates should be proficient in anesthetic monitoring, IV catheter placement, intubation, lab specimen collection and processing, x-ray taking (hands-free skills preferred), end-of-life care and client communication. Our RVT's are directly involved in patient care and lead and communicate directly with pet owners under DVM direction. Experience with ultrasound would be a bonus such as AFAST/TFAST and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis. We have an in house IDEXX lab.
Positions
We are offering a flexible work model where part-time, permanent and relief/occasional shifts are available for those who may wish to supplement their income. We offer flexible scheduling of shifts through the When I Work App allowing for easy team communication.

Shift Requirements
- No overnights
- Saturdays, Sundays Stat Holidays 8 am - 8pm (6hr, 8hr, 12hr shifts)
- Weeknights 6pm - 10 pm
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
