Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing our fleet of trucks and trailers to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on semi-trucks and trailers
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and air brake systems
- Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Perform engine work
- Repair suspension, brakes, and drivetrain components
- Maintain accurate service records and work orders
- Respond to breakdowns when required
Requirements
- Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification (preferred) or equivalent experience
- Experience with Class 8 trucks and trailers
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and after-treatment systems (DPF/DEF)
- Ability to diagnose and repair independently
- Valid driver’s license (Class 1 or 3 is an asset)
