Production Worker- Cart Make-up

K-Bro Linen System Inc. operates a large, modern, commercial laundry facility located in Mississauga. We are looking for soiled linen sorters/ dumpers for the washfloor department. We offer stable, long-term employment with excellent growth opportunities in a friendly work environment.

Work Location: 6045 Freemont Blvd, Mississauga ON

Rate of Pay: $18.54/ hr. (Rates to go up to $19.10/ hr. on July 1st)

Shift: All production workers work 4 days a week with 3 days off. Shift starts at 8:00AM (schedule to be assigned based on department needs)

Responsibilities

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Main Responsibility

Fill carts based on order slips.
Create pick slips by scanning cart into the computer and verify quotas through counting and use of the touch screens.
Pull carts onto scale and scan them with hand scanner to ensure the weight and unit is captured by the reading monitor.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

Interpersonal skills, team player
Ability to read and write English
Ability to distinguish linen differences such as colour, size and texture
Onsite training offered.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position is located in a production plant environment and the work requires continual physical effort all day such as lifting, pushing and pulling of carts that could weigh up to a maximum of 399 lb.
Constant exposure to low level noise from machines in the plant.
Constant exposure to lint/dust particles in the air.
Constant exposure to Cold, humidity and heat.
