Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the overall patient experience. Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental hygiene assessments and oral health screenings.
- Provide preventive dental hygiene services, including scaling, root planing, polishing, fluoride treatments, and sealants.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with provincial regulations.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
- Assess and monitor periodontal health, documenting findings accurately.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and treatment notes.
- Assist the dentist in developing individualized treatment plans.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention and sterilization protocols.
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
- Monitor patient comfort throughout treatment and respond to concerns professionally.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment recommendations and home care instructions.
- Collaborate with dentists and other team members to provide high-quality patient care.
- Schedule and manage hygiene appointments efficiently while maintaining productivity.
- Comply with all provincial regulations, workplace safety standards, and clinic policies.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development to maintain licensure and enhance clinical skills.
Experience
- Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the state of Manitoba
- Prior experience working in a dental office setting is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and patient care
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols and sterilization procedures

Pay: $50.00-$67.00 per hour
