Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for working with patients of all ages, including children. Familiarity with dental software and terminology is essential.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments by providing necessary instruments and materials.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Tracker or similar dental software
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; experience in orthodontics is a plus.
- Proficiency in using Tracker or similar dental management software is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is mandatory.
- Understanding of Punjabi / Hindi language will be an asset.
