Position Overview
This is not a traditional marketing position. We are looking for someone who enjoys taking initiative, building relationships, managing multiple priorities, and seeing projects through to completion. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping Iris grow by supporting business development, coordinating marketing activities, maintaining our CRM, and ensuring consistent communication with prospective and existing clients.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development
- Research and identify prospective clients, developers, landlords, architects, consultants, franchise groups, and property managers.
- Contact prospective clients by phone, email, and LinkedIn to introduce Iris Construction Group.
- Schedule meetings and assist with business development activities.
- Coordinate bid list registrations and prequalification submissions.
- Follow up on proposals and maintain client relationships.
CRM & Sales Administration
- Maintain and update the company CRM and sales pipeline.
- Track opportunities from initial contact through project award.
- Prepare weekly reports outlining business development activity and pipeline status.
Marketing
- Coordinate and maintain the company website and social media platforms.
- Create and schedule content highlighting completed projects, company news, and industry updates.
- Develop marketing materials, presentations, capability statements, and newsletters.
- Coordinate photography, video, and other marketing content with external suppliers when required.
Proposal Support
- Assist in preparing proposals, qualifications, presentations, and supporting documentation for bids and client meetings.
Qualifications
- Experience in business development, marketing, sales, or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable making outbound calls and building professional relationships.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and marketing tools such as Canva or similar software.
- Experience with CRM systems is considered an asset.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver’s licence and ability to attend meetings within the Winnipeg area as required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
