Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Concrete Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with concrete-related projects, supporting various phases of construction, and ensuring the successful completion of building and renovation tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and familiarity with construction tools and techniques. Prior experience in concrete work or related trades is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Duties
- Assist with concrete forming, pouring, and finishing to ensure smooth and durable surfaces
- Support rebar installation and placement according to project specifications
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements and layouts
- Perform masonry tasks including caulking, restoration, and flooring installation as needed
- Support carpentry activities related to framing and structural support
- Assist with welding, renovation, and other construction tasks as directed
- Handle heavy lifting and material movement to facilitate project progress
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment
Requirements
- Prior experience or knowledge in construction-related fields such as concrete forming, masonry, or carpentry is advantageous
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with heavy equipment operation are preferred
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints accurately
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and basic welding techniques
- Capable of performing heavy lifting and working in physically demanding conditions
- Strong understanding of construction safety standards and procedures
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions
- Willingness to learn new skills related to concrete finishing, restoration, caulking, and flooring installation
- Valid identification demonstrating eligibility to work on construction sites
