Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Cook/Supervisor to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, delivering high-quality food and exceptional service to our guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong cooking skills, food safety knowledge, and leadership abilities to oversee daily kitchen activities effectively. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols
- Oversee food preparation, presentation, and quality control to meet customer expectations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper food handling procedures are followed
- Train new team members on food safety, cooking techniques, and restaurant policies
- Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings
- Ensure all food served is fresh, safe, and meets quality standards
Experience
- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is required, preferably in a supervisory role
- Proven skills in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
- Strong serving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Familiarity with the food industry trends and customer service excellence is highly desirable
