Customs Rater / CLVS Operations Specialist
We are currently seeking an experienced Customs Rater / CLVS Operations Specialist to join our growing team.
Position Details
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (flexible hours available)
- Compensation: Competitive salary, negotiable based on experience
Overview
Responsibilities
- Assess and assign appropriate customs classifications and tariffs to shipments based on product descriptions and international trade regulations.
- Process live CLVS (Courier Low Value Shipment) imports as part of a structured team environment
- Prepare and provide carriers with the required documentation for Advance Commercial Information(ACI) submissions to facilitate customs clearance.
- Complete the daily rating of live shipments and participate in the billing cycle.
- Respond promptly and professionally to client phone calls and e-mail inquiries.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure timely and accurate customs processing.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of customs rating experience
- Thorough knowledge of customs classification for all commodity types is required.
- Experience with CLVS operations is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of e-commerce and customs "Credits programs" is considered a strong asset.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
