Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Support children during playtime, learning sessions, meals, and rest periods to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Provide attentive care to children with disabilities, adapting activities to meet individual needs and fostering inclusive participation.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Observe and document children's progress, sharing insights with teachers and parents to support developmental goals.
- Follow all safety protocols and licensing regulations diligently to ensure a secure environment for every child.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to promote a positive and collaborative atmosphere.
Requirements
- Prior classroom experience or hands-on experience working with children in educational or caregiving settings.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate caregiving tailored to each child's unique needs.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, families, and team members.
- Ability to remain energetic, attentive, and positive throughout your shift.
- Must be reliable, responsible, and committed to creating a nurturing environment for all children.
- Must gave availability Monday to Friday for both before & after school scheduling opportunities.
