Description
Public Outreach is looking for confident, passionate communicators to join our in-person fundraising teams across Vancouver. Your role is to start meaningful conversations that lead to real change.
We represent some of the world’s most respected non-profits – organizations fighting for climate action, humanitarian aid, and human rights. Our charity partners depend on steady, long-term support to continue their life-changing work – and as a Public Outreach Fundraiser, you’ll help make that possible by inspiring people to become ongoing monthly donors.
This is not your average fundraising job. You’ll be a storyteller, advocate, and ambassador – someone who can connect authentically, communicate with empathy, and spark enthusiasm for change.
Requirements:
- Strong command of the English language
- Availability for full-time (5 days/week) or part-time (minimum 3 days/week)
- Shifts run Monday–Sunday
- 11:15 AM – 6:15 PM (earlier start possible on weekends)
- 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Ability and willingness to work on your feet for extended periods
- Comfortable working outdoors year-round, rain or shine
- Ability to reliably commute to Vancouver fundraising sites.
- Access to a car is a valuable asset but not a requirement (we encourage team carpools!)
- Must be available for at least one weekend shift
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and listening skills
- Charismatic, engaging, and persuasive communicator – someone who can inspire others
- Genuine passion for social justice, humanitarian aid, and environmental protection
- Resilience and emotional maturity – able to handle rejection with positivity
- Confidence speaking with people from diverse backgrounds
- Adaptability in fast-paced environments
- A team player who also thrives independently
- Leadership experience is a strong asset
Overview of Job Duties:
- Engage face-to-face with the public on behalf of respected non-profits
- Build rapport, listen actively, and tell compelling stories about our charity partners’ work
