K&J Lawn Care is a professional lawn care company serving Terrace and the surrounding area. We are currently hiring a Lawn Care Technician for the 2026 lawn care season.
This position is suited for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in quality work, and is reliable and dependable. The role involves operating commercial-grade equipment and maintaining residential and commercial properties to a high standard.
After training, the technician must be comfortable working independently, managing assigned mowing routes, and maintaining quality standards on every property serviced.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate commercial-grade stand-on lawn mowers
- Perform string trimming around buildings, fences, trees, and obstacles
- Blow off sidewalks, driveways, and other hard surfaces after mowing
- Safely load and unload equipment from trailers
- Safely operate company trucks and trailers between job sites
- Maintain clean and professional job sites
- Perform daily equipment checks and basic maintenance
- Ensure quality control standards are met on every property serviced
- Identify and report property issues or damage immediately
- Represent K&J Lawn Care professionally when interacting with clients
Job Requirements
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence (required)
- Acceptable driver abstract required (National Safety Code compliance)
- Ability to safely operate trucks and trailers
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Physically capable of walking, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks
- Ability to follow directions and maintain quality standards
- Must be willing and able to work independently after training
Previous landscaping, construction, or outdoor labour experience is considered an asset but is not required.

Schedule
Seasonal position generally running from April 1 through mid-November.
Typical workdays start at 9:00 AM and may run through the afternoon depending on workload and weather conditions.
Pay
$22.5 – $28 per hour depending on experience
