Overview
Laurent Leblanc Limited is seeking a skilled 310T / Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in maintaining and repairing various types of heavy machinery, including excavators, cranes, and farm equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals to ensure accurate repairs.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for assembly, welding, and mechanical repairs.
- Conduct electrical repairs as needed, demonstrating knowledge of electrical systems in heavy machinery.
- Provide exceptional service by communicating effectively with team members regarding repair needs and timelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols during all maintenance activities.
- Assist with heavy lifting and operation of equipment as required during repair processes.
Experience
- Previous experience as a mechanic with a focus on heavy equipment is essential.
- Familiarity with Caterpillar, Case and other machinery and HVAC systems is advantageous.
- Proven ability to operate various types of industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience with automotive repair is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes is required.
