Knights Ridge Builders & Renovations is looking for a dependable On-Site Renovation Helper to join our residential renovation team. We specialize in basement developments, kitchens, bathrooms and larger home renovations throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas.
This is not strictly a general labour/cleanup position. We're looking for someone with construction experience who is comfortable with tools, can handle basic renovation tasks, work independently when required, and help keep our projects organized and moving forward.
Starting wage is $25/hour, with the opportunity for increased responsibility and compensation for the right person.
The On-Site Renovation Helper will work at various residential renovation projects throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities will vary from day to day and may include:
- Assisting management and trades on active renovation sites
- Site preparation before trades begin work
- Light demolition and removal of existing materials
- Moving and organizing construction materials
- Picking up and delivering materials when required
- Installing temporary construction protection
- Maintaining clean, safe and organized job sites
- Construction cleanup and debris removal
- Basic installation, assembly and general handyman-type tasks
- Taking site measurements and photos
- Checking sites for deficiencies or items requiring attention
- Preparing projects for upcoming trades and inspections
- Assisting with final project deficiencies and completion items
- Communicating site conditions or concerns to management
- Other general renovation-related tasks as required
What We're Looking For
The right person will be dependable, professional and comfortable working inside our clients' homes.
You should:
- Have previous construction, renovation or general labour experience
- Have a good general understanding of residential construction
- Be comfortable using common hand and power tools
- Be physically capable of lifting and moving construction materials
- Be able to work independently without constant supervision
- Be organized and able to follow instructions
- Pay attention to details and recognize when something doesn't look right
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance around customers
- Communicate well with homeowners, trades and management
- Be punctual and dependable
- Work safely and respect occupied homes and customer property
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 50.0 per week
