Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team. This role focuses on fostering relationships with clients, driving sales, and executing strategic marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales:
- Support business development initiatives and drive sales efforts.
- Conduct outside sales and cold calling 80% of the time, with 20% dedicated to inside sales and research activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients through effective communication and follow-up.
- Conduct market research to identify potential customers, business opportunities, and market trends.
- Utilize CRM tools to track sales activities, manage leads, and report on performance.
- Accurately complete all necessary documentation in a timely manner, including PSA, CRM entries, marketing sheets, tracking sheets, and customer surveys.
Relationship Management:
- Act as a liaison between clients and internal staff, gathering and sharing pertinent information.
- Maintain ongoing customer relations and ensure long-term partnerships.
- Follow up on marketing efforts and relay outcomes to key stakeholders.
Marketing & Campaigns:
- Organize and execute marketing campaigns, including email marketing and social media posts.
- Plan and attend events such as conferences, seminars, receptions, and trade shows.
- Communicate with target audiences and coordinate the production and distribution of communications with external vendors.
Strategic Growth & Development:
- Source and build new relationships, anticipating client needs and improving industry knowledge.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify growth opportunities.
- Think ahead to develop innovative strategies for business development and sales.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales or outside sales roles.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers effectively.
- Exceptional customer service skills focused on building and sustaining long-term relationships.
- Proficiency in CRM software (preferred).
- Experience in business development or technical sales is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present ideas clearly and confidently.
