Position Summary
We are seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate is clinically skilled, personable, and dedicated to helping patients maintain optimal oral health. This role offers flexible scheduling with both full-time and part-time options available.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scaling, root planing, and routine prophylaxis in accordance with provincial standards.
- Conduct periodontal assessments, charting, and oral health evaluations.
- Take and process dental radiographs as required.
- Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride and sealants.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and individualized home care.
- Document treatment accurately in the practice management system.
- Collaborate with the dentist and clinical team to support comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain infection control and instrument sterilization protocols.
Qualifications
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO).
- Diploma or degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability, professionalism, and a team-oriented approach.
Schedule
Availability for evening and Saturday shifts is a must. Specific scheduling can be discussed based on full-time or part-time arrangement.
