Duo Cafe is boutique bakery and cafe that offers French artisanal goods in a modern environment.
We are looking for positive and enthusiastic Café Associates (Retail Sales Associate/Barista) who are knowledgeable and passionate about customer service to join our growing team!
LOCATION: 9206 Leslie Street #1, Richmond Hill ON
AVAILABILITY: An open availability will be given preference (will be expected to be scheduled for a variety of opening, mid-day, closing shifts)
Responsibilities:
- Interact with guests, provide in depth knowledge regarding our product; Act as a brand ambassador for the Company
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Maintaining a calm exterior during periods of high volume or unusual events to maintain a comfortable shop environment
- Maintaining a clean and organized work-space so that associates can locate resources and product as needed
- Maintaining regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
- Contributing to a positive team environment
- Greet guests and assist servers in ensuring an efficient dining experience.
- Clear, clean, and reset tables promptly between guests.
- Remove used dishes, utensils, and glassware from tables and deliver them to the kitchen for cleaning.
- Ensure that dining areas, floors, and restrooms are clean and well-maintained.
- Assist with setting up tables and maintaining overall dining room organization.
- Stock and replenish necessary supplies, including napkins, condiments, and utensils.
- Follow all health and safety guidlines
Preferred Qualifications and/or Experiences:
- Current Food Handlers Certification (must obtain on hire)
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR C (is an asset)
- Experience in a similar position is an asset.
- Ability to stand for 8 hour shifts, lift 20 lbs when required and perform regular, repeated movements such as lifting trays, working the register, and making beverages.
- Must be energetic with a passion for food and a positive attitude.
- Able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
