Position Summary
The Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and commissioning SILOKING feed mixers and related agricultural equipment. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently in the field, and a customer-focused approach to service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on SILOKING equipment
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and electrical systems
- Conduct equipment inspections and complete detailed service reports
- Install and commission new machinery at customer locations
- Provide technical support and operational guidance to customers
- Maintain service tools, vehicle, and inventory of parts
- Communicate effectively with customers, service managers, and parts departments
- Follow company safety procedures and industry best practices
- Participate in ongoing technical training and certification programs
Qualifications & Skills
- Technical diploma or certification in Agricultural Equipment, Heavy Equipment, Automotive, or related field considered an asset
- 2+ years of mechanical service experience (agricultural equipment preferred)
- Strong understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Proficient with diagnostic tools and software
- Valid driver’s license (Class G) with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with industrial engines considered an asset
- Experience working with feed mixers considered an asset
- Welding and fabrication skills considered an asset
Work Environment
- Field-based role with travel to customer farms
- Occasional overtime and weekend work(on call)
- Combination of shop and on-site service work

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
