The Opportunity
We're looking for a driven, self-motivated Business Development Representative to help us connect with BC small businesses that need HR support. This is a fully remote contractor role with a flexible schedule: perfect for a summer student, recent graduate, or anyone looking to build real-world sales experience while earning strong commission.
You'll be on the front lines of LilyHR's growth, reaching out to prospective clients, starting conversations, and booking discovery calls for our founding team. There's no micromanagement here. You own your schedule, your outreach, and your results.
What You'll Do
- Identify and research BC small businesses that would benefit from fractional HR support
- Conduct outbound outreach via cold calls, email, and LinkedIn
- Qualify prospects and book discovery calls with the LilyHR team
- Track outreach activity and pipeline in our CRM (Apollo)
- Follow up with warm leads and nurture prospects through to a signed contract

No HR experience required. We'll give you everything you need to have confident, informed conversations with prospects.
Compensation
This is a 100% commission-based contractor role. There is no base salary or hourly wage.
You earn one-third (33%) of the 2-month contract value for every client you bring to a signed retainer agreement with LilyHR.
LilyHR retainers range from $1,000 to $3,500+ per month. A signed client on a 3-month minimum term generates $3,000 to $10,500 in contract value — meaning your commission on a single closed deal is $667 to $2,310.
Realistic earning potential: $2,000 to $6,000+ per month for a representative closing 2 to 3 clients per month. The earning potential scales entirely with your effort and results.
Commission is paid within 14 days of LilyHR receiving the first payment from a signed client.

This is an independent contractor role. As a contractor, you are responsible for your own taxes and source deductions. This role does not include employment benefits, vacation pay, or statutory holiday entitlements under the BC Employment Standards Act.
