Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optician or Optical Staff to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting and fitting eyewear, ensuring they receive the best possible service and products tailored to their needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail sales, with a keen understanding of optical products and services.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting eyewear that fits their style and prescription needs.
- Measure customers for proper frame fit and ensure accurate lens placement.
- Provide information on lens options, coatings, and frame materials to help customers make informed decisions.
- Process orders using Visual Eyes, ensuring all details are accurately recorded.
- Collaborate with laboratory technicians to ensure timely production of eyewear.
- Maintain an organized display of eyewear products and keep the dispensing area clean and professional.
- Educate customers on proper care and maintenance of their eyewear.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to orders or products effectively.
- Contact lens related tasks as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail or in an optical setting is required.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to eye care is beneficial.
- Proficiency in using retail management software.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with customers quickly.
- A passion for providing excellent customer service and a commitment to enhancing the customer experience in the optical field.
