Jay's Landscaping is hiring a dependable part-time Yard Attendant to help keep our landscape yard clean, organized, and running smoothly.
This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working outside, staying busy, and helping crews get prepared for the day.
Main duties include:
- Keeping the yard clean, neat, and organized
- Staging tools, equipment, and materials for crews
- Helping load and unload trucks and trailers
- Guiding drivers while backing trucks into the yard
- Organizing brick, stone, pallets, and leftover materials
- Sweeping, collecting garbage, cutting grass, and general property upkeep
- Preparing supplies for crews before they leave for job sites
- Receiving deliveries and helping suppliers find the correct unloading area
- Inventory of the yard- Letting management know when supplies are running low
- Operating a forklift after proper training and authorization
The ideal person is:
- Dependable and punctual
- Physically capable of lifting and performing outdoor work (lifting up to 70-100lbs)
- Organized and able to work independently
- Comfortable working around trucks, trailers, forklifts, and construction equipment
- Able to follow instructions and take pride in keeping the yard presentable
- Experienced with equipment, construction, farming, trucking, or landscaping is an asset, but not required
This position could be a great fit for a semi-retired construction worker, equipment operator, farmer, truck driver, or someone looking for steady weekday morning work.
Hours: Approximately Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Hours may vary depending on workload and season.
Pay: Approximately $19–$21 per hour, depending on experience.
Location: Jay's Landscaping yard in the Cobourg area.
