Overview
Data Skill Source is hiring a SaaS Platform Administrator to support one of our fast-growing SaaS B2B clients in the intake-to-procurement orchestration space. Instead of traditional back-end IT infrastructure support, this role focuses heavily on application-layer configuration and direct client success. You'll learn the client's platform in depth to provide high-quality platform configuration, administration, and consultative client support. You'll work under a Team Lead who will guide priorities and best practices.
This position offers long-term, remote work for a candidate located in Canada or the United States.
What You'll Do
System Configuration & Client Engagement
- Platform Mastery: Learn the client's SaaS platform thoroughly, including permissions, workflows, automations, and advanced settings.
- System Configuration: Perform core system configuration tasks and manage admin-level platform operations to tailor the software to client needs.
- Client Collaboration: Serve as a collaborative point of contact for clients, translating their business needs into platform setups and guiding them through configuration options.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot platform-specific issues directly with clients to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate configuration documentation and follow established SOPs.
- Platform Health: Monitor data quality, system performance, and security compliance.
Task Execution & Teamwork
- Task Management: Complete daily configuration and admin tasks assigned by your Team Lead.
- Clear Updates: Provide clear, concise updates on work progress, client feedback, and technical blockers.
- Standard Processes: Follow established workflows to ensure consistent, high-quality technical outputs.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members to resolve complex configuration issues and refine internal processes.
Quality & Reliability
- Attention to Detail: Ensure absolute accuracy and meticulous attention to detail in every system configuration.
- Optimization: Identify repeat platform issues and propose system or process improvements where appropriate.
- Security First: Uphold data confidentiality and platform security best practices.
Requirements
Client & Professional Skills
- Client-Facing Excellence: Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to communicate technical configuration concepts clearly and empathetically to clients.

- Process Execution: Ability to follow established processes and execute configuration tasks independently.
- Remote Capability: Comfortable working remotely and managing multiple client priorities efficiently.
Technical & Configuration Skills
- Experience: 1–2+ years in SaaS application administration, software implementation, technical account management, or a similar systems configuration role. (Note: This role focuses on the application layer; traditional IT hardware/helpdesk support is not emphasized.)
- SaaS Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn, navigate, and deeply master complex new SaaS platforms.
- Logic & Workflows: Strong experience managing user permissions, custom workflows, automations, admin consoles, or platform configuration tools.
- Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting and operational thinking skills.
