Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join Andreia's Kitchen & Lounge. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in food service, meal preparation, and maintaining high standards of food safety. You will be responsible for managing a designated section of the kitchen while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and efficiency. The role requires strong culinary fundamentals, including butchery, scratch cooking, and proficiency on both hot and cold stations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present menu items to established quality and presentation standards.
- Demonstrate strong scratch-cooking techniques using fresh, high-quality ingredients.
- Execute daily prep and service requirements for both hot and cold kitchen stations.
- Perform butchery tasks, including portioning, trimming, and preparation of meats, poultry, and seafood.
- Assist with pastry and dessert preparation, production, and plating as required.
- Maintain organization and readiness of assigned stations throughout service.Ensure all food is prepared safely and in accordance with health and sanitation regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate ordering requirements to kitchen management.
- Minimize food waste through proper storage, rotation, and utilization of ingredients.
- Support fellow kitchen team members during busy service periods.
- Follow recipes, preparation methods, and plating standards consistently.

Kitchen Standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment at all times
- Follow all opening, service, and closing procedures.
- Properly clean and maintain kitchen equipment, tools, and workstations.
- Adhere to food safety, HACCP, and workplace health and safety guidelines.
- Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a line cook in a high volume or fine dinning enviroment.
- Strong butchery and knife skills.
- Solid understanding of scratch cooking techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently on both and cold lines.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
