Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Q Deck Installer to join our construction team. This role involves installing, repairing, and restoring decks with precision and craftsmanship. The ideal candidate will have experience in various construction disciplines, including carpentry, blueprint reading, and the use of hand tools. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, contributing to high-quality outdoor structures that enhance our clients' properties.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate deck installation.
- Measure and cut materials using hand tools and power tools to specifications.
- Assemble and install Q decks according to design plans, ensuring structural integrity and safety standards.
- Perform caulking, sealing, and restoration work to ensure durability and weather resistance of decks.
- Coordinate with team members to execute projects efficiently while maintaining safety protocols.
- Assist with related tasks such as flooring installation, tile laying, or construction painting as needed.
- Use plumbing or welding skills for specialized deck features or repairs when required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction, carpentry, or related trades with a focus on deck installation preferred.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and reading blueprints or schematics.
- Knowledge of caulking, restoration techniques, flooring installation, tile laying, plumbing, welding, and construction painting is a plus.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work safely at heights and in various weather conditions.
- A valid <PERSON> certification or relevant trade license is desirable but not mandatory.
